It’s an amazing workout that synthesizes upper body strength, with focus, power, and grace. This class is so much fun you won’t even realize that you are working out! No aerial experience is required to join – beginners are welcome!
Classes Available
Aerial Yoga
Ease your mind in this Aerial Yoga class. Lengthen your spine and elongate your body with these yoga based poses, with the help of the aerial hammocks or silks. What to Bring: Hand towel or Yoga mat (we have mats you can use at the studio too).
What to Wear: We have Aerial Silks and Aerial Yoga clothing available in the boutique for purchase. 3/4 or long sleeve fitted shirt or leotard (no tank tops). Long pants made from nylon/spandex or cotton spandex (tights, leggings, sweats, yoga pants). Deodorant.
What NOT to Wear: Dangling earrings and necklaces, bracelets, big bulky rings, long and/or sharp finger and toenails, body lotion, body oil, perfume.
Aerial Silks - Introduction, Beginner, All Levels, Co-Ed All Levels
Cirque du Soleil here you come!! Explore the latest fitness craze–Aerial silks! An introductory class where you will master basic climbs, and learn simple combo moves. It’s an amazing workout that synthesizes upper body strength, with focus, power, and grace. This class is so much fun you won’t even realize that you are working out! Any level student will benefit from this class. No aerial experience is required to join – beginners are welcome!! Our instructors are amazing at helping each and every student at their own pace.
Lyra
Begin to master new aerial skills by using the Lyra Hoop, a stationary hoop that allows you to do spectacular spins and moves. Lyra/Aerial Hoop is a metal circle that is suspended from a single point. You will learn how to move from different positions with grace and ease while gaining strength and control, and improve both strength and flexibility. On Lyra's with a swivel. you will learn all of the above, with the added excitement of spinning. The classes include a warm up, strength training, conditioning tips, and stretching. You’ll learn at your own pace and interest level. Beginners will focus on proper body position, muscle usage, basic positions, and basic balances. More advanced students will learn more difficult skills, choreography and artistry. As your strength and confidence increase, you’ll be amazed at what you are capable of doing.
Aerial Cube
Another intriguing apparatus that is similar to the Lyra. Aerial cube can be a solo, duo, or trio apparatus. Since the Aerial cube is big it creates opportunities to create different symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes that require great coordination, balance, and if done in pairs or trios perfect synchronization.
